Magdalena Chwarścianek-Mitov, born in 1982, holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from Adam Mickiewicz University (UAM) in Poznań and a degree in Management from SWPS University in Warsaw.

Since 2012, she has served as Director General of the Barka Foundation in the Netherlands (Stichting Barka NL), overseeing support programmes for homeless people from Central and Eastern Europe implemented by Barka in the Netherlands and Belgium. She is also a board member of Barka IE in Ireland.

Magdalena has been involved with the Barka Foundation in Poznań since 2009, supporting homeless and long-term unemployed individuals. She participated in a nationwide project aimed at strengthening solidarity-based economic mechanisms, implemented by the Barka Foundation in Poland.
