The Barka Network

Barka Cooperation Network

The Barka Cooperation Network Organization, registered in 2004 and based in Poznań, Poland, is an alliance of 40 civil society organisations and social enterprises operating in the field of social economy. Barka e.V. is a member of the Barka Cooperation Network.

The network is based on a model that combines a bottom-up approach with a strong central support organisation, the Barka Foundation for Mutual Assistance.

The aim of the Barka Network is to support and represent its members in the areas of training, education, training modules, management, organisational development, and in fostering a culture of solidarity, mutual assistance, and interpersonal as well as social relationships.

As a member of the Barka Cooperation Network, Barka e.V. benefits from the network’s training programmes and can utilise the infrastructure of the Barka Network in Poland to assist Polish homeless migrants in Germany with their return to Poland for rehabilitation.

Furthermore, Barka e.V. can send partner organisations from Germany on study visits to member organisations and institutions of the Barka Network in Poland, benefiting from their expertise and experience in social and professional reintegration, and can use the network’s logo, contacts, and membership status within local communities, municipalities, and state institutions.
