“Barka’s One-Stop-Shop” is a three-year project, starting in October 2025, providing support to homeless EU migrants in Berlin, initially offered in Polish.
Barka Berlin’s services combine outreach street work with a low-threshold advice café and also include self-help groups and addiction counselling.
As part of the One-Stop-Shop project funding, we offer a range of support services. Initially, guidance is provided in the native languages Polish, German, and English.
Our tandem team operates entirely on a mobile basis, conducting regular street outreach at the locations frequented by our target group, as well as at their day centres in Neukölln, Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, Tempelhof-Schöneberg, and Charlottenburg.
Individual support throughout the entire Berlin area is also available – please do not hesitate to contact us!
In 2018, the Barka Foundation in Poland received funding from the Polish Senate for a five-month pilot project – the “Barka Support Center” in Berlin – which ran from August to December 2018.
The initiative stemmed from an invitation by the Polish Embassy in Berlin, which approached Barka in response to the growing need for support among Polish citizens.
Barka e. V. is a non-for-profit organisation that was established in Berlin, committed to assisting homeless Central & Eastern European migrants in Germany.
Our office is not available for in-person meetings. Please contact us via email or phone.
