Biography
Aneta is a dedicated social worker with a university degree in Sociology, specialising in psychosocial counselling, which she completed at the University of Szczecin in Poland.
As an experienced social worker, she has supported people in challenging life situations and with health-related issues for many years. Her career has ranged from assisting with asylum procedures in a refugee facility, to providing comprehensive support for clients in a homeless shelter, and working as a key caseworker for individuals experiencing housing insecurity.
Aneta has contributed to two major projects in Berlin. In one, she coordinated internal operations for a winter relief programme, providing homeless people with safe accommodation and hot meals during the cold months. In another, she organised home visits for older adults living alone, helping to alleviate loneliness and strengthen social connections, working closely with volunteers.
Seeking new and inspiring challenges, Aneta joined Barka e.V.. She is particularly motivated by the opportunity to offer social counselling in the client’s native language, making a concrete and measurable contribution to supporting homeless EU citizens.
