Berlin Strengthens Collaboration Between Housing Emergency Assistance Stakeholders

On 4 September, we had the opportunity to engage in discussions with district councillors, members of the Berlin House of Representatives, social organisations, and affected citizens. The exchange was both intense and inspiring!

The challenges faced by those experiencing housing insecurity and homelessness often extend far beyond a lack of housing. Issues such as addiction, mental illness, and health problems frequently paint a complex picture. Through our native-language counselling and peer advisors – individuals who have personally overcome these obstacles – we build bridges to the support system and help open up new opportunities.

We were particularly pleased with the positive feedback regarding our *Barka Support Centre Berlin* from 2018. It is wonderful to see that our work has left a lasting impression and that interest in our planned activities is growing.

We thank all participants for their openness and look forward to continuing to strengthen support services in Berlin together.
